Distribution and habitat

It is found in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical mangrove forests.


Taxonomy

The Yellowish-streaked Lory species contains three subspecies:
  •     Chalcopsitta sintillata (Temminck) 1835
  •         Chalcopsitta sintillata chloroptera Salvadori 1876
  •         Chalcopsitta sintillata rubrifrons Gray,GR 1858
  •         Chalcopsitta sintillata sintillata (Temminck) 1835
